Dance Shoes
|
 |
The King O’Sullivan School
uses a number of styles of shoes for the boy and girl dancers.
Both use the traditional hard shoe with the heel and toe areas
raised for the distinctive "sound" of the Irish Dance. Girls use
pumps (gillies) for other dances, while boys use soft dance shoes
(similar to jazz dance shoes). |
New shoes are
available at Kerreen O’Connor 303 979 1440
www.kerreen.com
and Fays Shoes at 914-237-1435

Experienced (Second hand) shoes may be available from time to time
and will be posted on our

School Dresses
|
|
|
Traditional clothing and footwear
is an important part of the Irish Dance experience. The King
O’Sullivan School is proud to be part of this heritage and
encourages its students and their families to show support for the
school.
For beginner dancers, a simple navy blue skirt, light blue top is
the appropriate outfit. |
For advanced levels
and above, dancers are encouraged to wear the school dress when
representing the school.
The King O’Sullivan School dress is designed to be elegant in its
simplicity, while following the age old tradition of celtic
design.
